Continuing Education Credits

Health Promoters/Health Educators

A variety of professional development opportunities will be available at the conference. Please visit this webpage and the Continuing Education booth at the conference for updated information.

Certified Health Education Specialists

The International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) is designated as a provider of Category I continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. The 19th World Conference is approved for CHES to receive up to 30 Category I CECH in health education. A fee of $30 can be paid (to IUHPE/NARO) by cheque or cash at the Continuing Education booth to receive a special packet for CHES.

Physicians

  • Approved for 33.5 MAINPRO M1 credits from BC College of Family Physicians
  • This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 24 credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. This includes 24 Prescribed and 1.5 Elective credits. Because some sessions run concurrently, no more than a total of 24 credits may be reported.
