Community Involvement Committee
Purpose
The Community Involvement Committee (CIC) is supporting community engagement activities to enrich the 19th IUHPE World Conference in Vancouver in June, 2007. For the purposes of this committee, community involvement is defined as "participation by members of the local and British Columbia community in aspects of the conference to benefit the community and assist the conference in achieving its goals."
The community involvement takes three forms:
- Conference activities in which members of the community participate
- Community activities in which conference delegates participate
- Conference-related tasks which are performed by volunteers
